The Devon Tortoise Group

 Founded in 1998.

We are a friendly group of tortoise enthusiasts whose aim is to meet like-minded people to exchange ideas, and educate others on the care of their tortoises.

We hold three meetings a year, to which we invite guest speakers. Meetings are held in March, July and October. We meet in East Budleigh Village Hall, High Street, East Budleigh. EX9 7DU. There is an entry charge of £2.50 per person, which includes a fabulous home baked cream tea.

We also produce three newsletters each year, to which we invite our members to submit interesting stories about their tortoises.

We rescue and re-home tortoises and terrapins. We would emphasize to anyone wishing us to adopt their tortoise, that the utmost care is taken to find a suitable home. ‘Foster parents’ will be vetted carefully and gardens and home situations checked thoroughly.
